ABC News airs Alaska bear cub nibbling wildlife photographer's boot

Aug 27, 2026

The brief ABC News segment shows a baby black bear cub approaching a man, likely a wildlife photographer, and gently nibbling or investigating his boot or shoe. The man calmly repeats phrases like "No bear," "That's my foot," "Good bear," to de-escalate while the cub and apparently its mother are nearby. The description specifies the event occurred in Alaska as the cub passed by out of curiosity.

Seattle resident names round raccoon Jimothy after spotting him near car

Jul 20, 2026

The Washington Post clip shows a Seattle resident describing her first sighting of a round raccoon she named Jimothy. She initially mistook him for a cat, then realized he was a raccoon and attributes his shape to short spine syndrome. The segment is short and anecdotal, drawing on the witness account and local observations without additional on-screen experts or graphics.
