SK Hynix misses profit estimates by 8%, KOSPI drops over 8%; US intercepts Iranian missiles
Bloomberg Daybreak Europe opened with SK Hynix Q2 results and the resulting KOSPI plunge, including circuit breakers and a 40% drawdown from June peaks. It covered surging oil on fresh Iran-US tensions, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered and UBS earnings beats with new buybacks, and Japan’s 7.1-magnitude earthquake. The segment mixed live analyst commentary, CEO clips from Rio Tinto and Deutsche Bank, and previews of the Fed decision and later Magnificent Seven results. Sourcing relied on company releases, on-screen charts, and named Bloomberg correspondents plus guest strategists.
