Kerry-Lynne Findlay faces BC Conservative MLA exodus three months into leadership
The Global News segment covers the rapid decline of the BC Conservative Party under new leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay. It notes the party's near-miss in the 2024 election under John Rustad, recent high-profile defections, leaked audio of Findlay offering incentives for MLAs to vacate seats, and a by-election challenge. It also references Premier David Eby's approval rating rebound. Reporting draws on recent events including six defections in roughly two weeks, prior exits since 2024, statements from departing MLAs, and public polling. No named experts or guests appear; the piece relies on anonymous caucus commentary and public statements amid expectations of further splits.
